Every financial contract can feel like a wall of text: dense, formal language hiding fees, penalties, and obligations in terms you don’t recognise. Our solution, Red Flags, tears down that wall and shines a spotlight on exactly the phrases you need to know.

Red Flags is a web and mobile-friendly tool that lets you upload any PDF—bank statements, loan agreements, insurance policies—and instantly transforms it into a guided walkthrough.

Behind the scenes, we use AI to scan the document, identify every “red-flag” term (late fees, auto-renewals, minimum balances, penalty clauses) and generate a clear, bullet-point explanation in everyday language. Those flagged phrases appear as highlights in your viewer, just like reading a highlighted textbook, so you never lose your place.

But we don’t stop at one-way translation. Right alongside your document sits a lightweight chat assistant. Ask any question—“What happens if I miss a payment?” “How do I cancel this plan?”—and the same AI, grounded in your exact document, will answer in real time.

Every upload is a private, one-time session: we process your file in temporary storage, extract the insights you need, and then discard the PDF. There’s no long-term file hosting or hidden data harvesting—just a straightforward path from confusion to clarity. And because the entire experience lives in the browser and a lightweight backend, it’s fast, secure, and scales from a student’s laptop to a community-center computer lab.
